THE IDEA & PLOT!

Gooooood afternooooon! In this posting I want to talk to y’all about our ideas and the basis of our plot.

Our ideas started off jumbled and not clear. My partner, Taylor Wolf wanted to film a person’s daily routine and when they opened the front door of their home, a zombie apocolypse was waiting for them. I thought that this idea was awesome but me nor my partner are excelling in special effects so it would be hard to create a film opening like that. We talked a little more and both realized that we wanted to create spomething with a genre of horror/thriller. After a little more thinking and pitching ideas, we FINALLY agreed on something!!

Our idea is...(drumroll please): A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SERIAL KILLER!

We next started deliberating about the plot of our film opening. Weve talked about a couple scenes that we plan on having and that will really bring the opening together as a whole. Some of these scenes include: A male figure waking up in the morning, making himself breakfast, and sitting down to watch the television as he eats. The audience then is able to hear the voice of a news reporter describing the characteristics of a missing person. The man then quickly shuts the tv off and puts his plate in the sink from breakfast. He then continues to finish getting ready for his day and the audience  is able to make inferences and receive subtle hints that he is he one that kidnapped this missing person. The dialogue of the news reporter will also alude to the fact that the parents of the missing person will not stop until their child is found no matter the consequences. This infers that there is more to the story other than just the opening and also if we hose not to show his face that could create a intriguing element to the opening as well.


We have ALOT to work with, but I’m glad we have a set idea and a baseline of our plot.
